This policy explains what information Monitor My Air collects, why we collect it, and what choices you have. We try to keep this short and honest. If anything here is unclear, email us and we'll explain.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run the service:
- Account information — your email address, your chosen username, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
- Community posts — anything you choose to post, comment, or share in the community.
- Optional form information — if you fill out a lead form or a consulting inquiry, whatever details you give us (such as your name, contact info, and what you're dealing with).
- Basic analytics — simple, privacy-friendly usage data like which pages get visited, so we can see what's helpful.
How we use it
- To run your account and let you log in.
- To operate the community and show your posts to other members.
- To respond to inquiries and consulting requests you send us.
- To improve the service and understand what content is useful.
We do not sell your personal data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. That's not our business model — we make money from memberships and application-only consulting.
Cookies and sessions
When you log in, we set a login session cookie so the site remembers you're signed in. We also use privacy-friendly analytics that don't build advertising profiles or follow you around the web. We don't run third-party advertising trackers.
Third parties we rely on
We use a few trusted providers to actually run the service. They only handle the data needed to do their job:
- Cloudflare — hosting and delivering the website and app.
- Stripe — our payment processor for memberships and billing. Your full card details go to Stripe, not to us.
- An email provider — for transactional emails like sign-up confirmations and password resets.
How long we keep your data
We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep certain records (for example, billing records for tax purposes). Community posts may remain visible unless you ask us to remove them.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and personal data.
Just email us and we'll take care of it.
Children
Monitor My Air isn't intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
